# Max LVL Media: Brand and experience system

Creative system / Web edition 3.0 / September 2026

## 1. The business and the person it serves

Max LVL Media creates connected marketing that helps appropriate customers find a business, understand how it can help them, and take a confident next step. Websites, video, advertising, search, written content, follow-up and software can each contribute to that experience. Their value comes from what they make possible for the person on the receiving end.

The company's creative voice comes from a filmmaker, actor and storyteller with a taste for vivid, imaginative experiences. That sensibility brings emotional observation, pacing, performance, visual craft, curiosity and energy to marketing. The work is directed toward the customer's situation and desired result.

The inspected foundations emphasize expert-led and service businesses whose buying decisions depend on trust. Other sources include home-service businesses, advisory businesses and education. These show applications of the same philosophy. The precise audience and actual offer are established for each assignment; this brand system supports their differences.

### Three people an AI must distinguish

| Situation | Who is speaking | Who receives the experience | What matters to that recipient |
|---|---|---|---|
| Max LVL's own marketing | Max LVL, in its authored voice | One prospective business client | A clearer path to appropriate customers, stronger trust, better conversations and less uncertainty about marketing |
| Marketing made for a client | That business, in its own voice | One of that business's customers | The particular problem, decision, desire or improvement they came to address |
| A software working screen | The product, with clear functional language | The person doing a task | Understanding the state, acting confidently, keeping their work and getting a useful result |

Voice describes who speaks. Audience describes who receives. A marketer can speak naturally to a plumber without impersonating a plumber. A client website expresses that client's identity; Max LVL's own colors and logo do not automatically become the customer's brand. The same distinction applies to an operator's workspace and the customer-facing artifact inside it.

### The strategic promise

**Help real value become easier for the right person to recognize and act on.**

For the business owner, this can mean that a prospect arrives with a useful understanding of the service and a reason to trust the person providing it. For the prospect, it can mean finding someone capable of helping, understanding the choice, and feeling able to take the next step. The promise is fulfilled by the actual offer and experience, with evidence appropriate to the claim.

This is internal strategic language. Public copy is written from the particular customer's situation and the real offer. A universal slogan does not have to carry every page, product or campaign.

## 2. Transformation at the right scale

Transformation means a meaningful change in the recipient's situation. The scale comes from their life. An ordinary improvement can have a strong emotional meaning: a shower that stays hot, a dinner that goes well, a calendar that is easier to plan, a retirement decision that feels better understood.

Describe the present situation precisely enough that the person can recognize it. Understand the desired situation in both practical and emotional terms. Then establish what could credibly connect the two. That connection may involve an explanation, a demonstration, a useful choice, a professional service, practice, a plan or several coordinated steps.

| Person | Present situation | Desired situation | A credible connection to explore |
|---|---|---|---|
| A homeowner | Hot water runs out, and they are unsure whether repair or replacement makes sense | A reliable morning routine and confidence in the choice | Diagnosis, understandable options and the actual service commitment |
| A person approaching retirement | They hesitate over spending because they cannot see how income and costs fit over time | More confidence in ordinary spending and plans they care about | A retirement-income planning process with visible assumptions, costs, tradeoffs and review |
| A business owner | Prospects struggle to understand the difference before the first conversation | More appropriate people arriving with a useful reason to consider the business | Connected messaging, proof, discovery, explanation and follow-up |
| A capable home cook | Pizza results are inconsistent, despite skill in other cooking | A reliable signature dish they enjoy sharing | A repeatable method adapted to their actual equipment and preferences |
| A product user | They cannot tell whether a change saved or what to do after an error | Confidence to continue the task | Accurate state, retained work and a recovery action that works |

These are illustrative strategic cases, not testimonials or verified service outcomes. A real assignment supplies its actual facts. Recognize the customer's strengths as well as their frustrations. Desire, curiosity, affection and ambition can open a story as effectively as pain.

Hope comes from a believable possibility and a way toward it. In public work, a specific scene, fact or explanation often communicates that feeling more naturally than naming hope or transformation.

## 3. The strategy underneath the writing

### Victim, villain, vow

The user's base principles define three useful questions: who is experiencing the problem; what is causing or sustaining it; and what the business is committed to doing about it.

The victim is a person in a situation, with agency, preferences and existing capabilities. The villain can be a habit, a confusing choice, a false assumption, a broken process or a status quo. The vow connects a real commitment to the desired result. These are analysis tools. The public expression can be an ordinary conversation, a useful explanation, a question, a scene or a demonstration.

For Max LVL, an important recurring tension in the sources is the gap between real capability and what a prospective customer understands. Activity and attention can look impressive while leaving that gap intact. The customer's concern is what the marketing is doing for their business and the people they could help. A connected experience gives each piece a useful role in closing that gap.

A plumber's customer may be concerned about an uncertain repair and another disrupted morning. That story can be expressed through the symptom they recognize, an explanation of how the problem will be assessed, and the choices available. The provider earns relevance through the help they can give.

### V.A.L.U.E.

| Principle | Useful strategic question | How it may reach the customer |
|---|---|---|
| Visible pain | What tangible frustration, problem or unmet desire is present? | A recognizable detail, symptom, question or ordinary moment |
| Alternative cost | What does the current situation cost in time, money, opportunity, worry or quality of life? | A concrete consequence relevant to this person |
| Leverage | How can the offer save time, reduce risk, improve a result or create meaningful value? | A concise connection between the capability and the desired outcome |
| Urgency | Is there a real reason timing matters here? | Truthful information about timing, consequences or readiness |
| Evidence | Why is the promise believable? | Relevant proof connected to the point being made |

Steve's own note on the source framework says its value is in checking that the story connects with customers. It works alongside showing, cause and effect, and victim/villain/vow. This makes it a flexible strategic lens. A public page need not contain five sections, follow acronym order, or name the categories.

The cost of the present situation is understood rather than inflated. Urgency is grounded in reality. Evidence supports the specific claim: a qualification explains competence, a demonstration reveals a process, and a relevant result has enough context to be interpretable. Strong adjectives cannot do that work.

### Readiness changes the experience

A homeowner with a current hot-water failure may need service availability and a clear contact route immediately. Someone comparing replacement options may need information first. A person exploring a retirement question may need time to understand a model and the professional's approach. The site's structure responds to that readiness.

The same applies to software. A first-use screen can orient and encourage. A returning user who wants to send an already approved follow-up needs the actual content, recipient, state and action. A good experience meets the present need without replaying the entire brand story.

## 4. Copywriting with a person on the other side

The current **Copywriting Base Principles** are the broad writing foundation for this proposal. They place personal connection first, encourage showing and story where useful, connect proof to the point, and explicitly say common sense wins. The longer Context document contributes useful audience distinctions and examples; its product-specific prescriptions remain attached to their original context.

### The writing has an observable job

The reader recognizes something relevant. A thought creates interest in the next thought. A feature becomes understandable through what it does for the reader. Proof makes the promise credible. The next action is clear.

Write in connected thoughts with natural variation. Use scenes, examples, metaphors, cause and effect, questions and direct explanation as the subject benefits. A list can remain a list. A short instruction can remain a short instruction. Story means that something matters and there is movement, not that every sentence must sound literary.

Showing gives the reader concrete material from which to understand the point. “The water turns cold before you finish rinsing” is recognizable when it matches the actual problem. “You deserve a transformed morning” asks the reader to translate a theme into a need.

The useful internal tests from the Context notes are **Want** and **Capacity**: is this something the person wants to understand now, and can they absorb it at the speed they are reading? A specialist deserves respect for their intelligence and their attention. Precise language can be both warm and concise.

### Speaking about the business

Company information earns its place when it helps the reader judge a decision. A real person's face and approach can reduce uncertainty about meeting them. A process can explain what will happen next. A relevant credential can establish the competence needed for this problem. A service description can make the path to an outcome clear.

Use “we,” “I,” “you” or a person's name naturally. Customer-centered writing is a relationship between relevance and need, rather than a pronoun-counting exercise. A passage about the provider can serve the customer; a passage full of “you” can still be vague and self-congratulatory.

### Public-copy specimens

These examples demonstrate direction and are not approved live claims. The service offer, audience evidence and actual next step determine final copy.

**Max LVL speaking to a prospective business client**

> A better first conversation starts before the phone rings.
>
> Help people understand how you can solve their problem before you meet. Connect your website, video and follow-up around the decision they need to make.

This makes the service relevant through the owner's experience of attracting and meeting prospective customers. A more specific campaign could use the actual niche's language, the kind of inquiry that matters, and proof from a real engagement.

**A plumbing business speaking to a homeowner**

> A hot shower should be the easy part of your morning.
>
> When the water turns cold halfway through, it helps to know what's causing it and whether a repair makes sense. Start with the problem you've noticed, then compare the options for getting your hot water working reliably again.

An urgent-service placement could instead begin with a literal “No hot water?” and a prominent contact action. The everyday scene and the direct version are both available; the person's need decides.

**An advisory business speaking to a person planning retirement**

> Can you say yes to the trip and still feel comfortable about next year?
>
> See how planned spending fits alongside the income and costs in your retirement plan.

The mechanism and supporting information must explain the actual planning work and its assumptions. The emotional destination is confidence in a decision, with the uncertainty honestly represented.

**A product helping someone review a follow-up**

> Review the message before it goes out.
>
> Check the recipient, appointment details and the answer they asked for.

The button then describes its actual action, such as “Save draft” or “Send message.” Warmth comes from making the work understandable and protecting the person's intent.

## 5. A recognizable visual identity with more range

### Desired character

Vivid, human, assured, inventive and emotionally perceptive. The work can be striking enough to hold attention and composed enough to make a decision feel clear. A strong visual point of view belongs alongside specificity and evidence.

The founder's filmmaking and acting inform viewpoint, gesture, expression, light, pacing and emotional timing. His gaming references inform richness, discovery, energy and the pleasure of something distinctive. These influences describe creative taste. The subject of a campaign remains its actual customer and offer.

### The signature

The bundled marks use the updated SVG masters supplied by Steve. The complete logo, wordmark, symbol, Builder and contained sidebar variants are mapped in [the logo asset guide](../source/logo-assets.md). All supplied masters are preserved alongside the working assets, which apply the confirmed light red where necessary. Choose the appropriate existing variant and preserve its individual viewBox and intrinsic ratio.

Use the supplied logo and icon geometry with the confirmed theme reds: **#D84D48 on dark** and **#AF282B on light**. The **logo black is #09131B**, as used in the light-background artwork. The author's notes name the symbol a **Surge** and describe its S connection to Steven Roderick Jurich. This provides a personal source for expressive energy. The surrounding design can echo its directional movement without reproducing lightning shapes throughout the interface.

`logo-dark.svg` and `icon-dark.svg` are the variants for dark local backgrounds; the light-named assets are for light backgrounds. Choose according to the area behind the mark. Keep the supplied proportions, letterforms and neutral fills, with the red appropriate to that theme. Prefer a quiet area of a composition so the mark remains legible. At small sizes use the supplied icon; detailed lockups should remain large enough to read. A starting clearspace of one quarter of the symbol's height is available as a layout default, with more room whenever it helps.

### Color: Blue Steel with a rich spectrum

Steve's original design notes establish near-neutral Blue Steel, Mythic red and Rare/Epic/Legendary color families. The ribbon artwork in `../assets/vivid-art.png` is the visual reference for their depth: substantial color, textured shadows and concentrated light. Rare blue and Epic violet retain deep, slightly muted bodies. Legendary amber is the brighter, more saturated exception, with a deep shadow and luminous golden highlight. They are authored Max LVL choices inspired by those references, rather than exact game-interface values or literal pixel samples from a lit image.

| Role | Proposed base | How it contributes |
|---|---|---|
| Midnight Blue Steel | #0C1520 | Deep default ground with space for image, type and rich color |
| Working surface | #142230 | Clear dark workspace grouping |
| Raised surface | #203244 | A visible layer for selected work and panels |
| Light page | #F7F7F2 | Comfortable daylight edition with a subtle warm cast |
| White surface | #FFFFFF | Clear light working and reading area |
| Mythic red on dark | #D84D48 | Confirmed dark-theme identity and logo red |
| Mythic red on light | #AF282B | Confirmed light-theme identity and logo red |
| Logo black | #09131B | Confirmed neutral in the light-background logo artwork |
| Rare blue | #254B8E | Deep cobalt with a composed, substantial presence |
| Epic violet | #603A8C | Rich amethyst with an imaginative, slightly softened character |
| Legendary amber | #D98B28 | Bright, saturated amber with a rich golden-orange presence |

Each supporting family includes a shadow, body and highlight. The body gives a chosen material its underlying color. Shadow provides depth in a fold, overlap or dimensional scene. Highlight gives a chosen edge, detail or moment of light more energy. The deeper treatment of Rare and Epic gives brighter Legendary amber room to shine without flattening the spectrum into one level of brightness.

| Family | Shadow | Body | Highlight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rare / cobalt | #10274A | #254B8E | #5986D2 |
| Epic / amethyst | #302043 | #603A8C | #9A70CB |
| Legendary / bright amber | #6B3B10 | #D98B28 | #FFC15A |

Use these ranges as ingredients, with the ribbon image guiding the balance of depth and light. A flat field can be effective on its own; dimensional imagery can use the full range. Surface texture, lighting and composition create material character. The exact texture, ribbon form and gradient treatment are creative choices for the particular piece. No fixed proportion of shadow or highlight is required.

The marketing profile has dedicated theme-aware color roles. Red action buttons use white text on tested functional shades in both themes. The supplied logo and identity reds remain #D84D48 on dark and #AF282B on light. Action colors have their own normal, hover and pressed roles in `../brand.tokens.json`; they are not interchangeable with logo colors. Hover, pressed, focus, selection, information, warning, error and success each have their own readable definitions in `../brand.tokens.json`. The Builder application profile in `../ui.tokens.json` uses blue selection and focus, quiet or blue working actions, and explicit status roles. It uses the same identity primitives while assigning actions according to the work. Art colors can fill a dramatic field or a small detail. Use white or Paper text on cobalt and amethyst bodies, and Midnight text on the amber body. Colored text on neutral surfaces uses the separately tested `art-text` roles. Readable link and status tones have their own purpose alongside the exact identity colors.

Color can occupy substantial space. A blue campaign field, violet editorial spread, red type-led poster or amber-lit material can belong to the identity. The composition chooses its emphasis. There is no prescribed neutral-to-accent percentage or fixed number of colors per artifact. Keep color meanings clear where people are operating controls or reading data.

For the tactile collage direction, favor amber in localized material, painted detail and light. Broad Legendary amber backgrounds behind a CTA section or form are discouraged for this treatment; a composed scene or a quieter ground gives the artwork and action more room. This is a preference for that direction, not a ban on amber fields in a different, deliberately developed composition.

Rare, Epic and Legendary are useful names for palette families. They do not automatically become pricing tiers, feature gates, customer ranks, status levels or reward systems. If a product needs such a distinction, define it from its actual use.

### Type that can change register

**DM Sans** is the main working voice and a strong display option. Use its open forms at 400-500 for reading, 600 for emphasis and 700 for confident titles. Large sentence-case type, strong line breaks and meaningful negative space can create presence without making every label a poster.

**Newsreader** is an expressive and editorial voice. Its regular and real italic can add intimacy, contrast or a change of pace. Use it for selected headlines, longer reading, a useful quotation or a reflective passage. It was developed for continuous screen reading; the supplied variable family and license are from [Production Type](https://github.com/productiontype/Newsreader) and its Google Fonts distribution.

The existing Anton remains available for a suitable bold display moment. An alternate type treatment can be explored when it strengthens a particular campaign. The logo's letterforms are supplied artwork and remain independent of these font choices.

Starting scales: product body 16px/1.5; supporting copy 14px/1.5; controls 14-16px with comfortable targets; editorial reading 18-22px/1.55-1.7; page titles 32-48px; expressive headings about 44-104px using fluid sizing. Print body normally begins around 10.5-12pt, then responds to trim, font and audience. Use real text to judge line length and wrapping. Tokens provide implementation defaults rather than artistic size limits.

### Three ways of composing

| Register | What it helps accomplish | Available expression |
|---|---|---|
| Expressive | Earn attention and make a relevant idea felt | Dramatic scale, authored photographs, saturated color, dimensional art, bold crops, purposeful motion |
| Everyday | Make choices and work feel clear and manageable | Legible type, stable navigation, comfortable controls, useful hierarchy and calm feedback |
| Editorial | Support understanding, evidence and sustained reading | Generous measure, photographs with specific captions, considered typography, diagrams and varied page rhythm |

A piece can move between these registers naturally. A product may have an expressive overview and a quiet task view. A customer page may open directly, make room for an explanation, and close with a useful contact choice. Registers expand the vocabulary; they do not prescribe a page formula. The [experience guide](EXPERIENCE-SYSTEM.md#website-composition) owns the available layout primitives and their composition roles.

## 6. Imagery, material and authored detail

Make the human subject specific to the recipient's concern or desired experience. Observe the person using something, making a decision, asking a question, enjoying a result or returning to ordinary life. A face is useful when expression or identity matters. A small detail can be enough when it holds the story: the calendar, the water going cold, the ticket for a trip, the pizza someone reaches for again.

Real people, real environments and relevant proof are valuable because they can establish something the reader needs to know. In a real campaign, distinguish documentary evidence from illustration. Concept images in this package depict fictional people and abstract art, not actual clients or measured results.

Choose the material from the story. Rich studio color, natural light, bold illustration, dimensional forms, a deliberate collage or a crisp typographic composition can all work. Warmth can live in a blue scene through gesture and attention. A dark interface can feel generous through proportion, clarity and considerate behavior.

The original `vivid-art.png` establishes a reference for rich color as sculptural material: deep body tones, substantial shadows and brighter lit edges. Alongside ribbon art, **tactile cinematic collage** is an optional expressive mode: human presence, physical textures, painted interventions, overlapping fragments, light and depth can give a scene an authored, emotional character. Choose the subject and materials for the particular customer, idea and medium.

The working doorway illustration, `../assets/doorway-art.png`, shows one such composition through a woman, a doorway, torn paper and a painted gesture. The original concept is preserved as `../assets/doorway-v1-original.png`. The doorway is an example, not a required portal or a fixed symbol for transformation. Circles and orbit-like forms in a book or artwork are also individual composition choices, not established brand motifs. Other scenes can use different people, objects, places or forms.

The current doorway specimen uses a flattened illustration with independent CSS light and live HTML typography. A future production treatment can separate scene/backdrop, subject, foreground collage and light into reusable layers when independent movement, crops or recomposition would help. Those production exports are not supplied as a layered PSD or equivalent source in this specimen.

The web examples use newly generated `home-scene.png` and `retirement-scene.png` to create authored scenes around everyday relief and a wanted future. `customer-conversation.png` remains an available earlier study, not the primary web example. The complete generation prompts are recorded in `../source/image-prompts.md` and `../source/studio-image-prompts.md`. These images demonstrate possible directions and do not create mandatory subjects for future work.

Reusable expressive elements include a directional sweep related to the Surge, an overlapping plane that creates depth, a crop that reveals useful context and a line that connects related ideas. Use a gesture because it contributes to that composition. In charts, geometry follows the information being shown. In controls, shape and motion reinforce recognizable behavior.

## 7. Motion with emotional and practical purpose

[Motionsites](https://motionsites.ai/) provides inspiration through immersive scenes, bold typographic treatments and sculptural imagery. This system draws from that visual ambition. The actual scene, metaphor and subject are developed for the customer and brand.

### Motion repertoire

| Pattern | Starting behavior | Why it can help | Static or reduced-motion version |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reveal context | A crop opens over about 600ms while essential copy is present | Connect a detail to the larger situation | Full composition immediately |
| Shift viewpoint | A deliberate selection changes image, explanation and relevant next step together in about 280ms | Make differences understandable | Immediate synchronized change |
| Follow an idea | A short directional movement or line develops over 400-600ms | Clarify a relationship or progression | Completed relationship visible |
| Respond to action | State responds in about 120-180ms | Make interaction feel immediate and assured | Instant state change |
| Explore dimension | An optional scene reveals depth through a controlled interaction | Invite curiosity and emphasize a visual idea | Equally composed still with normal controls |

These are starting behaviors. A film, performance or narrative sequence can have its own pacing. Elaborate imagery, sculptural scenes, video textures and progressive 3D are available when they make the work better. Core content, controls and the next useful action remain understandable throughout the experience.

Give people control over sustained motion. Support reduced-motion preferences, ordinary scrolling, keyboard input and touch. Information that changes visually also needs an intelligible text state. A fast-moving effect should not turn a calm decision into a race. The functional baseline and future production checks are defined in [EXPERIENCE-SYSTEM.md](EXPERIENCE-SYSTEM.md), with [WCAG 2.2](https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22/) as the accessibility reference.

## 8. Translate the philosophy into experience

**On a website**, decide who arrives, what they already understand, what they need next and what the real offer can do. Choose an opening appropriate to that moment. Show the connection from the offer to the customer's desired result. Use the provider's story, process and proof where they answer the reader's question.

**In software**, put the person and their task in a clear relationship with the work. Make state accurate, preserve effort, explain consequences, and make recovery straightforward. An operator may need technical information that would distract the end customer. A preview should preserve the recipient's actual experience and brand.

**In a proposal or PDF**, explain the recipient's objective, what is being proposed, why the approach fits, what they receive and what happens next. The arrangement can be visually ambitious while scope, assumptions and decision points remain easy to find.

**In a book or educational piece**, movement may come through an idea becoming understandable. Metaphor, example, explanation and reflection serve the reader's learning. The material and writing voice fit the subject rather than adopting a universal inspirational tone.

**In an interactive tool**, a changed input should illuminate a choice or consequence. Label assumptions and units, retain context, explain modeled results and distinguish them from observed evidence. The person's understanding is the result worth designing for.

**In email, social and video**, respect the moment of attention. A useful message can be brief, a story can unfold, and a film can let someone see and hear a real person. Match the audience's readiness and the job of the piece. The same strategic connection survives changes in length and medium.

See the experience guide for complete state behavior, component anatomy, responsiveness, accessibility and production recipes. See [AI-CREATION-GUIDE.md](AI-CREATION-GUIDE.md) for briefs an AI can use directly.

## 9. A system that can keep opening

The recognizable anchors are the supplied mark, the family of vivid color, a coherent typographic relationship, authored creative judgment and an experience that cares about its recipient. The particular imagery, composition, material, amount of motion and emotional tone can change.

Develop new ideas against real work: an agency page for one business buyer; a client page for one end customer; an ordinary task; a difficult state; a reading spread; the chosen appearances and a narrow layout. Apply the [experience guide's theme scope](EXPERIENCE-SYSTEM.md#4-type-themes-and-visual-hierarchy). Judge what the person can understand, feel and do. Use actual audience response and task observation to improve it.

A memorable treatment is allowed to be bold. A quiet treatment is allowed to be right. A useful creative departure can remain local to its purpose. Keep the system specific enough to build from and open enough for the next better idea.

## Source ownership

This proposal is informed by the user's current direction and the named local source documents. Their exact paths, scope distinctions and a research synthesis are in [source/research-notes.md](../source/research-notes.md). No original project or principle document was changed. The package's purpose is to make a new brand proposal from that understanding.

The source notes separate the general base principles from older product-specific instructions and distinguish strategic hypotheses, invented personas and draft claim language from established business facts. Public proof and final offer descriptions come from the actual assignment's evidence.
